HOW FLEXIBLE ARE THE TOURS

At the briefing before each tour, Fernando Tourisme guides will help design a tour to suit the party.

WHAT IF YOUR
VISIT TO NOUMEA IS
CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON
If your trip to Noumea is cancelled through no fault of yours (personal issues, weather issues or cancellation of air or ship services), no charge will be made against your credit card and your card information will be destroyed.
WHAT IF IT RAINS

Being a sub-tropical island (on the Tropic of Capricorn), rainy days and overcase skies can happen. However, Fernando Tourisme doesn't let a little water spoil a day out. Each tour carries umbrellas, and lunches can be held under cover. There's plenty to see and do, even in the rain. If, however, if the weather is deemed too poor for reasonable enjoyment of the countryside, you will be advised and every attempt will be made to work out another day that suits. If this is impossible because of time limits, no charge will be made against your credit card and your card information will be destroyed.

WHAT IF I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES
OR DIETARY ISSUES
During Fernando Tourisme's briefing just prior to leaving on the tour, make your concerns known. Family and staff have a range of tuna, salads and fruits which can usually solve most dietary issues.
ARE TOILET
FACILITIES READILY AVAILABLE

Yes. Fernando Tourisme knows where all the facilities are located, and toilet facilities are available in parks and small villages along the way.

WHERE CAN I
CHANGE MY CURRENCY BEFORE
THE TOUR
Currency exchange booths or through ATMs. Currency exchange is also offered at most leading hotels, although the exchange rate will not be as good as through an ATM.
AFTER I CONFIRM MY BOOKING, WHAT
HAPPENS NEXT

A booking is deemed to be confirmed by the visitor only when credit card details are provided on the tour booking form.  Once received, Fernando Tourisme will send you an email acknowledging the receipt of the booking and confirming that you will be on the tour. Should weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occur prior to the tour, an email will be sent to you with further information.

ARE THE TOUR PRICES
AT THE TIME OF MY
BOOKING CONFIRMED

Yes.  Fernando Tourisme will always honour the prices agreed to at the time of booking, regardless of any price changes that might occur any time after the booking is made.

DOES FERNANDO LEAD EVERY TOUR HIMSELF

Fernando Tourisme's policy is that Fernando leads all exclusive or private tours. Having said that, even Fernando can be incapacitated, and in that event, he will let you know. Be assured that Team Fernando includes hand-picked tour guides like George (see his photo on the front page of this website), so every tour will always have the best and most knowledgeable person available.

IS THERE A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON THESE TOURS

This tour IS designed for parties of a minimum of FOUR people, and a maximum of EIGHT people. However, if more bookings are received for one private party than the capacity of the 8-seater Mercedes minibus, additional transport is called in, or in the event of a very large party, larger coaches are used. Fernando Tourisme has a team of trusted tour guides, ensuring that every tour, regardless of its size, is given as personal a service as possible.

IS THERE ANYTHING
ELSE I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TOUR

Just wear comfortable clothing and good walking shoes. This is a sub-tropical country so a sun screen is recommended for those who may be affected by the sun.

For the elderly or those with walking difficulties, there are plenty of flat-ground walks, so bring your walking aids by all means.
