WHAT IF THE SHIP'S
VISIT TO NOUMEA IS
CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON
If you can't disembark in Noumea through no fault of yours, no charge will be made against your credit card and your card information will be destroyed.
WHAT IF IT RAINS

Being a sub-tropical island (on the Tropic of Capricorn), rainy days and overcase skies can happen. However, Fernando Tourisme doesn't let a little water spoil a day out. Each tour carries umbrellas, and lunches can be held under cover. There's plenty to see and do, even in the rain.

WHAT IF I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES
OR DIETARY ISSUES
During Fernando Tourisme's first briefing just prior to leaving on a tour, make your concerns known. Family and staff have a range of tuna, salads and fruits which can usually solve most dietary issues.
ARE TOILET
FACILITIES READILY AVAILABLE

Yes. Fernando Tourisme tours know where all the facilities are located, and toilet facilities are on site wherever the tasting lunch is held (depending on the weather)

WHERE CAN I
CHANGE MY CURRENCY BEFORE
THE TOUR
Just across the road from the City Terminal, where all cruise passengers are taken, regardless of which wharf your ship uses, there are ATM facilities. Look for the Casino sign just across the road from the City Terminal. Note that banks in Noumea don’t change money, but there are currency exchange booths that do, and local currency is readily and easily available through ATMs.
AFTER I CONFIRM MY BOOKING, WHAT
HAPPENS NEXT

A booking is deemed to be confirmed by the visitor only when credit card details are provided on the tour booking form.  Once received, Fernando's Tours and Transport fernando Tourisme will send you an email acknowledging the receipt of the booking and confirming that you will be on the tour. Should weather or any other unforeseen circumstance occur prior to the tour, an email will be sent to you with further information.

ARE THE TOUR PRICES
AT THE TIME OF MY
BOOKING CONFIRMED

Yes.  Fernando Tourisme will always honour the prices agreed to at the time of booking, regardless of any price changes that might occur any time after the booking is made.

DOES FERNANDO LEAD EVERY TOUR HIMSELF

Fernando leads most tours, but this is not guaranteed. There is only one way to guarantee you will have Fernando as your personal tour guide, and that is to book a private tour, so that you and your party have exclusive access to Fernando for the duration of your tour. A premium is charged for personal guided tours with Fernando.

IS THERE A LIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE ON THESE TOURS

YES. This special tour requires a minimum of FOUR persons and a maximum of EIGHT persons. Fernando Tourisme tries to honour all bookings made for the non-exclusive tours. If more bookings are received than the capacity of the 8-seater Mercedes minibus, additional transport is called in, or in the event of a very large party, larger coaches are called in. Fernando Tourisme has a team of trusted tour guides, ensuring that every tour, regardless of its size, is given as personal a service as possible.

IS THERE ANYTHING
ELSE I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TOUR
Just wear comfortable clothing and shoes. This is a sub-tropical country so a sun screen is recommended for those who may be affected by the sun. If you are planning to join in the stand-up paddle boarding, bring your swimming togs. Water safety vests are supplied with the boards.
