Being a sub-tropical island (on the Tropic of Capricorn), rainy days and overcase skies can happen. However, Fernando Tourisme doesn’t let a little water spoil a day out. Each tour carries umbrellas, and lunches can be held under cover. There’s plenty to see and do, even in the rain.

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. This is a sub-tropical country so a sun screen is recommended for those who may be affected by the sun. If you are planning to swim in the Blue River, bring your swimming gear.
While the park is home to a large Cagou population, no guarantees can be given for a sighting. However, Fernando Tourisme estimates that the Cagou can be seen and photographed on about 80% of their tours to the Park, so the odds are high that you will see the birds.
